1 camera + 1 memory card = super happy kids

February 20th, 2012

Hi friends!

This week we’re launching a campaign to gather the cameras we need for our summer workshops.  Would you help us spread the word?

Most folks who upgrade their cameras tuck their old camera away “just in case”.  There are millions of cameras tucked away and never used. They could be donated and sent on an amazing adventure with some amazing kids!

Our current needs are for 20 point & shoot cameras, and 15 DSLR camera bodies with lenses.

If you have a camera that you aren’t using, please consider passing it along.  You can email cameras@theoneshotproject.com, and we’ll determine a shipping location most convenient for you.

Please share this post on Google+, tweet it, email it to your friends.  We’ll keep you posted!

  1. I don’t have any extras but I will spread the word. This sounds like a really fun idea! Good luck guys! :)

I am pretty sure I have some 4GB compact flash memory cards laying around that I don’t use. How/where can I send them ?

  3. I’ve got a 3MP Sony Cybershot and some memory cards I no longer use. Battery might be an issue. Where can I send this stuff?

Is it fine if they aren’t digital?

      Hello Kardo-

Our upcoming workshops will digital based, but we’re hoping to do some film work with the students down the road. If you have a camera to send along, we’ll make use of it.

      I’ll follow up by email.
      Thanks!

  5. I still have a 30 year old olympus camera. It is not a digital camera.

  6. How has the camera collecting been going?

  7. Erin Wilson says:

    Hi Nathan-

Thanks for asking! We could still use cameras, particularly DSLRs.
